Architect David Bastos leads the firm that bears his name, with offices in Salvador and São Paulo. A graduate in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), he began his professional career working in the public sector, developing social housing and urban planning projects for the state government of Bahia. In the 1990s, he opened his own studio, propelled by his first commissions for beach houses along the coast of Bahia.

From the beginning, his interior design projects drew attention for their natural ability to move between contemporary, rustic, and classic styles — a signature that quickly stood out in specialized publications in Brazil. Over nearly three decades, his firm has broadened its scope, taking on a wide range of residential, commercial, and corporate projects in various regions of the country and abroad.
